Netsurf Entertainment presents WTA India Open!
This November WTA ( Women’s Tennis Association ) is all set to captivate the Nation again after four years of absence with its new series of International Tournaments in India called “WTA India Open”, to be held in India from Nov 5-Nov to 11th NOV 2012, which is brought to India by Netsurf Entertainment. The main purpose of this event is to encourage young talent and give them an International platform.

Netsurf Entertainment will invite the top players in the Women’s tennis to make it a tournament of repute and give the young players a chance to play with some of the best talent in the world. It would be a strong field with singles main draw containing 32 strong opponents with 6 wild card entries. Four top international players ranked 11-50 will be participating in the tournament.

India’s affair with tennis probably started with Vijay Amrutraj which was successfully taken over by players like Leander Paes, Mahesh Bhupathi, Sania Mirza and alike. Tennis has become increasingly popular amongst Indians with WTA events being second most followed events after major Grand Slams. At this backdrop, India becomes a perfect landing place to host this new tennis tournament. This is an opportunity not only to woo Indian tennis fans but also to create a better future for tennis in India.
